Question Evolution Day

For starters, we DID NOT evolve from some prehistoric ooze millions of years ago. No experiment has produced life from a non-living source. We DO NOT have a fury primate hanging from our family tree. Every fossil example of a prehistoric ancestor of homo sapiens has been discredited by good investigative science. God DID NOT use evolution to create us over millions of years. If he did, then the first few chapters of Genesis are a lie. God DID form Adam and Eve from the dust of the ground on Day Six of the creation week along with every other land-dwelling animal that lives on the earth. We were created in perfection, but it was through the fall of Adam that sin, corruption, death and decay came into the world.
Today is Question Evolution Day, the brain child of Cowboy Bob Sorensen of the Question Evolution Project. He was inspired by Dr Jonathan Sarfati, founder of the Christian Ministries Institute and their “15 Questions for Evolutionists.” I encourage everyone to visit their websites and read the latest information about creation science. Links to both sites are provided below. Today is the anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth, so it’s a fitting day to renounce the theory he is famous for. It doesn’t matter if you are a believer in Jesus Christ or not, you should be asking secular science questions about evolution. Their theory is so full of holes, you could fly a Boeing 747 through it.
We ARE NOT the product of an accidental combination of chemicals that somehow sprang to life. We ARE the conception of a loving God who created us in his image right after he created the whole universe to keep us spellbound by its beauty. He put the whole earth and everything in it under our dominion. Not to waste its resources and ruin its beauty by pollution, but to be its manager and caretaker. Never be afraid to question when secular science foists an unprovable, unreproducible, and unscientific theory upon us while calling us ignorant for not accepting it! We have the Almighty God of the universe on our side who has told us that ALL scripture is breathed out by him. They have, on their side, fallible human beings with diplomas on their walls, and a theory they change when confronted with facts that disprove their secular religion. Who are you going to believe?

Daily Prayer

Heavenly Father, your love shows us the truth. You gave us the words of scripture that explains our origins. We don’t have to take the word of imperfect humans with a rebellious agenda for truth. You didn’t create us to be just another resident of this world. You breathed the breath of life into us, which makes us special and different from all other creatures. We are created in your image, giving us a unique position in all of creation. Help us to be willing to educate ourselves about the truths of our origins. Give us the strength and courage to stand against the lies of secular science. They are liars who worship creation and not the creator. Never let us respond to their deceit in a hateful manner. We know you love them just as you love us. Give us the words to convince them of their error and break through their stony hearts. Help us to love everyone like Jesus does. It’s in his precious name, we pray. Amen!

Preach the Word

(2 Timothy 4:2) Meditation I used to think it was only the pastors job to preach the Word of God. I’m not a preacher, so it didn’t occur to me to share the gospel. However, this verse does not say, “Preachers, preach the word.” Whether you realize it or not, we are all ministers of the gospel. We have been charged with the awesome task of telling everyone about Jesus and why he went to the cross. When Jesus gave the “Great Commission,” to make disciples of all nations; he wasn’t just talking to his own disciples. He was speaking to every one of us. There is no other mission or calling more important than that for us. Even if we go to church every Sunday, but do nothing else, we’re not in the game; we’re just spectators. Think About Heavenly Things

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:8) Why have I spent so much time filling my mind with garbage? I’ve read unclean jokes or off-color cartoons and shared them on social media. I used to go to movies or watch things on television that are detestable to the Lord and thought nothing of it. My baser instincts are to gravitate toward the impure offerings of our entertainment industry.
